Question–how strictly does NPS enforce the parking limits along the MVT? I'm planning to take tomorrow off work to go for a bike ride since the weather looks so awesome (Alexandria to Green Lizard is the current plan), and I'd like to start at Jones Point Park so I don't need to deal with the nasty hill by my house on the way home. I'm guessing the ride will be 3.5-4.5 hrs since it'll involve a coffee/smoothie break at Green Lizard, and I think the usual time limit is 3 hrs M-F in that lot.
I'm just trying to gauge the likelihood of me getting a ticket since if it's high, I'll have to change my plans and just park along the W&OD or in a neighborhood.
Also, if anyone else wants to play hooky and join me, let me know I don't plan to roll out super early since the whole point of a day off is getting to sleep in a little, but I hope to leave before 10am.
