We are getting a connection error when using the voice recognition setup in DirectRT:
Connection error – No Microphone Input.
The software cannot communicate with any connected microphones – please make sure you have the microphone connected and enabled.
The only time it consistently recognizes the mic is right after re-booting. If you close DirectRT and then re-launch, the microphone will not usually re-connect. This will be a problem for undergraduate RA's out in the field collecting data. Things need to be pretty foolproof without any trouble-shooting involved.

We are running DirectRT v 2008.121.720.10 using Win 7 professional on a Dell Latitude e6410 laptop; Intel core i5, 2.53Ghz, 4.00MB RAM, 64-bit mode. The built-in microphone is described as:
CntrlPanel. Sound. Microphone Array: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.
√Default Device.
Properties: Advanced; Default Format 2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz.
Exclusive Mode:
√ Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device
√ Give exclusive mode applicaitons priority.

Any ideas?

Thank You!!!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
